Timeline

Meet at Kyoto Station Take the train (20 minutes) to Saga-Arashiyama Station. Walk to Tenryu-ji Temple (20 minutes). Visit the Japanese garden at Tenryu-ji Temple. Walk to the bamboo forest and head to Arashiyama Park. Enjoy the view of the Hozu River from the observatory of Arashiyama Park. Take a picnic break with Japanese tea and sweets at Arashiyama Park. Go down to the river side of Hozu River and look the Togetsukyo Bridge. Walk to Randen Arashiyama Station for lunch. Move to Randen Arashiyama Station. Experience the footbath at Randen Arashiyama Station. Return to Saga-Arashiyama station. Travel by train (20 minutes). Goodbye at Kyoto Station
